PA Student Teacher Support Program Begins Award Distribution

I appreciated the opportunity to join @Lanc_Chamber this morning for a Wake Up to the Issues panel discussion on energy policy. It is essential that Pennsylvania develop an energy strategy that prioritizes grid reliability.
It was my privilege to present Barb Huesken with a citation honoring her retirement from the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association after a career in journalism spanning 42 years. Throughout her career, Barb has advocated for a free press and supported news media outlets across this Commonwealth. She will be missed!

For their Eagle Scout community service projects, Donny Macaulay (left) worked with Bethany Christian Services to collect, fill, and distribute 50 backpacks to children in the foster care system; Avery Like (middle) constructed a gaga pit at Lancaster Community Park; and Nancy Winand (right) constructed a giant Lite-Brite toy for children at the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development in Lancaster.
@horstarts, a storefront in Manheim owned and operated by husband and wife duo Jason & Katherine Horst, offers products and services in everything from fine arts to graphic arts. It was a pleasure to meet them and visit their storefront on a recent visit to downtown Manheim!
Thanks to all who came out to my license plate exchange event in late August! We were able to help over 60 Lancaster County residents obtain brand new license plates, FREE of charge, that meet state guidelines.

I recently visited Functional Health of Lancaster to learn more about their mission to help patients achieve their optimal health through partnership, accountability, resiliency, and empowerment, and to discuss their legislative priorities. A nonprofit organization dedicated to the maintenance and preservation of Janson Park in Columbia, its mission is to provide a safe, family-friendly neighborhood park for residents and visitors to enjoy and to serve those in need through its Helping Hands program.
Wishing Lawrence Clark and his family a wonderful 100th birthday celebration this week. Mr. Clark is a US Army World War II veteran and a chemist. He has at least 9 patents through Armstrong. His first was for Armaflex, the black foam that is used as an insulator on pipes.
