My thanks to SACA Founder and CEO Emeritus Carlos Graupera for having me on SACA’s WLCH Radio Centro to discuss freeing our kids from smartphones and social media during the school day. We did touch on a few other topics as well!
Congrats to these 3 scouts in Troop 349 and 349B from Mountville who, earlier this summer, earned the rank of Eagle Scout!

For their Eagle Scout community service projects, Donny Macaulay (left) worked with Bethany Christian Services to collect, fill, and distribute 50 backpacks to children in the foster care system; Avery Like (middle) constructed a gaga pit at Lancaster Community Park; and Nancy Winand (right) constructed a giant Lite-Brite toy for children at the Schreiber Center for Pediatric Development in Lancaster.
Last night we held a telephone town hall event for residents of the 36th Senatorial District. I am grateful for all those who participated - over 4100! Our next event is a Coffee & Conversation on October 15 in East Hempfield Twp. Visit my website for additional details.
I recently visited Functional Health of Lancaster to learn more about their mission to help patients achieve their optimal health through partnership, accountability, resiliency, and empowerment, and to discuss their legislative priorities. Many thanks to the staff who took time out of their day to speak with me!
